Wolf Paintings

I am a member of 'JAPAN WOLF ASSOCIATION'.
They publish journals called 'FOREST CALL' twice a year.
And this time, my painting was used on the front cover.

Japanese wolves are extinct about 150 years ago,
so I painted it not as a entity but a soul.
In short, It's kinda ghost.
Please don't be scared...

This is like:
A shy wolf tilting his neck thinking, 'who are you?'
to the visitor in the forest.

In Japanese, there is an expression: 'escorting wolf'.
It is used as 'a man who escorts a woman home out of lecherous intent'

But originally, It had a different meaning.
It is based on the behavior of wolves.
They follow people until they leave their territory.
Wolves normally don't attack people.

People who lived near wolves even used to have a custom
like bowing down to the forrest after they walked through it safely in the dark.
They thought that wolves protected people in the forest.

This painting was also used in a page of the journal.
My friend I met in New Zealand bought this.

The original paintings of above.

My favourite hand cream
from LA COMPANIE DE PROVENCE MARSEILLE
and body butter from L'OCCITANE.

I didn't know the brand but I bought the hand cream
in France at first because of the design.
I guessed the smell would be more plain.
It is indeed, but I became a captive of the smell of it.
I can go to heaven! (not for everyone)

I finished the first one and bought the one in the picture
which is bigger size than last time.

The body butter from L'OCCITANE also has
the scent I am stuck on.

I can be in trance with those two smells. (exaggerated)

Peter Jackson isn't connected with this topic, just the back ground.
